They should never double dip the spatula into the wax pot, and you should be provided with fresh, paper sheets on which to lay. A hygienic salon will have no qualms about answering any questions about cleanliness; in fact, we’d rather you ask than settle for an unhygienic waxing service!

On the flip side, there are certain signs to look out for that indicate a waxing salon is uncleanly. If you walk into a salon and notice that things are in disarray, whether it is the equipment, products, or files, that is a good indication that they are just as messy about their waxing services.
